My teaching approach has four important phases
My teaching approach has four important phases Before the first class, I will discuss with the parent about the child's actual needs and areas that require the most attention. Then I’ll come up with a working plan to work on relevant requirements, so students can reach their goals. My first step in teaching a lesson will be to introduce the appropriate way to perform the skills included in the new concept via an interactive strategy that triggers students' brains, activates prior knowledge and gives them an insight into what is being taught. This is the “I do” phase. As students learn new information and skills, they work through a series of examples with me, which allows them to learn more deeply. This helps to build confidence in them as they gain a deeper understanding of the material. This is the "we do" phase. In the next step I will ask students to demonstrate their initial level of understanding of the new concept being taught through independent practice. Various quizzes and well-placed questions will be assigned to the students so that they fully grasp the concept. This is the "you do" phase. In my teaching, I emphasize the importance of problem solving skills in a variety of mathematical topics. As a teacher, I use a variety of resources to assist my students to develop the essential skills that will aid them in solving mathematical problems confidently, such as interactive lesson slides, exclusive past entrance and exam papers. Additionally, I will conduct regular assessments and give homework as part of my math teaching. The purpose of math assessment is to monitor the student's understanding and to assist them in improving their knowledge and skills in order to succeed in mathematics. The purpose of homework is to help students practice concepts and to present their work so that their knowledge of the content is deepened.
